Slings, pendants and winch lines where the load is over someone's head.

Lifting has the least tolerance for optimism. Design factor, termination efficiency and inspection regime are all part of the calculation. Synthetic earns its place on weight: two people rig a sling, not five.

What actually governs the spec

Termination efficiency and angle loading. Most lifting failures trace to geometry, not under-specified rope: a doubled leg tension, an eye that was never rated.

The problems worth solving

Sling angle multiplies leg tension fast

A two-leg bridle at 30° from horizontal doubles the load in each leg, and nearly quadruples it at 15°. Our calculator makes that explicit before site.

Heat at the termination

HMPE softens well below the temperature a steel fitting reaches in summer sun, let alone near hot work. Aramid holds its rating there.

Inspection that finds damage before it matters

Synthetic slings hide internal damage that steel would show. We supply constructions that open for core inspection, with documented retirement criteria and a crew brief.

5:1 minimum for general lifting; 7:1 or higher where personnel work beneath the load
